Along The Viking Trail, you will find
Bonne Bay encompasses
a couple of lovely waterside Western Newfoundland
Rocky Harbour,
one of these remarkable seaside towns,
is situated in the center of Gros Morne National Park.
The park's Interpretation Centers offer information on the area which includes the awesome, geologically astounding Tablelands UNESCO site.
It's worth travelling the
well-marked
hiking trails, here,
and for the more athletic, it is quite rewarding to walk along
the rocky rough edges of Rocky Harbour itself
(photo to the right).
In Summertime, from around the world people come to enjoy these fishing villages and
hike along the unusual rock formations; breathe in
the sweet fresh air; and take in the rugged shoreline.
There are many places to wander, camera in hand.

What else? In Rocky Harbour, there's a fish plant, a post office, a RCMP station, the library housed in a school, and fine Bed and Breakfasts. The motel in town, The Ocean View, features live music.
And lastly, the Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse blinks watchfully across the harbour at night.
